As on any vehicle and more particularly sports models, prepared for leisure or competition, the engine mounts are nerve centers on the behavior of the mechanics. The most developed engines impose significant constraints on transmitting their power to the transmission and therefore to the ground. A lot of effort which over time will weaken the original rubbers which will end up crushing or tearing. This will cause inappropriate movement of the engine in its compartment.

A harmful evolution of these series parts which has oriented 034Motorsport has developed a compromise between real extremely rigid competition parts and OEM parts. This so-called Reinforced Range from 034Motorsport will undoubtedly correspond to the needs linked to occasional intensive use on the road or track in order to preserve all the mechanics.

The resulting level of performance will necessarily be higher due to the percentage of rigidity conferred by these supports developed in the field by 034Motorsport

High hardness rubber compared to polyurethane:

High density engine mounts are made from high hardness rubber instead of polyurethane for a number of reasons. While vulcanized rubber mounts are more expensive to prototype due to increased manufacturing complexity and high initial tooling costs, rubber is inherently better than polyurethane as a damping medium for mounts and bushings.

Rubber is able to handle stresses under both tension and compression, while polyurethane supports rely on the cushioning medium to be effective only under compression. Rubber is also excellent in shear, where polyurethane is ineffective, making it ideal for applications that apply shear force to the bushing during articulation. Rubber does not bunch or wear like polyurethane, ultimately resulting in a durable part with consistent performance.
