Specifications of D2 Coilovers DRIFT
The new range from D2 called DRIFT , has been specially designed for the practice of drifting. The wide adjustment possibilities of this new generation of threaded assemblies allow you a high precision tuning of your suspension, without ever sacrificing the quality of damping including at the level of lowering even the lowest possible: the height regardless of the spring preload, which ensures efficient damping in all circumstances, up to the lowest lowering levels (shock absorber diameter 55 mm).
In order to be able to guarantee better traction, the springs and shock absorbers of the DRIFT range from D2 Racing , they have been specifically designed, studied and optimized to maximize the contact of the tires with the road surface in the most extreme situations (example: at high speed, under strong lateral acceleration, on degraded pavement, etc.). Camber is also adjustable at the front via the shock absorber cup (valid for McPherson type struts only).
D2 Racing coilovers have a single-tube oil design and offer a lowering range of up to 10 to 12 centimeters depending on the model. The damping (also called "hardness") is adjustable in 36 positions. Its shock absorber body is made of aluminum, which provides them with foolproof anti-corrosion protection. In most cases, these aluminum shock absorbers are less heavy than the original, and therefore also save a few precious kilograms, weight being the sinews of war in the race!

Legend: types of cups
The diagram in photo 2 shows you the difference between the separate springs (identical configuration to the origin), and the combined springs (spring around the shock absorber) for E36 and E30. On the E30 version, the strut must be welded at the front: it is a complex job that must be carried out knowingly and with responsibility.
