Performance
BMC air filters have been developed to increase the airflow compared to a classic paper engine filter. For example, in motorsport, the BMC cotton filter minimizes the variations in air flow passing through the air filter, this favors the revving up of your mechanics. By using a BMC filter you use the same technology as the filters used in F1.
Design and materials
Advanced studies have been carried out by engineers in flow mechanics while using the best techniques in terms of development to produce the most efficient BMC air filters possible. A Formula 1 filter must be very resistant and also very light, that's why they use the best possible materials because they are made of a special cotton gauze.
The filter material is soaked in low viscosity oil to give you the best air permeability.
Advanced technology
BMC staff have developed a particular system based on soft rubber molding that gives that red look around BMC filters.
They are made in one piece without welded joints in the corners, thus avoiding the risk of breakage of this material. This system, called "Full Moulding", comes from R&D in F1 and it is significant of the technical and qualitative specificities of the air filters coming straight from BMC .

BMC air filters advantageously replace conventional filters. They are mounted in place of your old filter in the original air box, they require no modification.
High performance models, they allow a superior air flow and thus contribute to an improvement in the performance of your engine for better combustion. BMC air filters are made from multi-layer cotton gauze soaked in a low viscosity oil and sandwiched between two epoxy-treated aluminum grids to prevent oxidation. Dust and other particles are captured and immobilized by cotton fibers soaked in low viscosity oil.
