Performance
BMC air filters have been developed to increase the air flow against a conventional paper engine filter. For example, in motorsport, the BMC Cotton filter minimizes the variation in air flow passing through the air filter, this promotes revs in power to your mechanics. By using a BMC filter you are using the same technology as the filters used in F1.
Design and materials
Advanced studies have been carried out by flow mechanics engineers while using the best techniques in terms of development to produce the best performing BMC A Formula 1 filter must be very resistant and also very light, which is why they use the best possible materials as they are made of a special cotton gauze.
The filter material is soaked in low viscosity oil to give you the best air permeability.
Advanced technology
BMC have developed a particular system based on the soft rubber molding which gives that red appearance around BMC filters.
They are made in one piece without welded joints in the corners, thus avoiding the risk of breakage of this material. This system, called "Full Molding", is the result of R&D in F1 and is indicative of the technical and qualitative specificities of air filters straight from BMC .

BMC air filters are an advantageous replacement for conventional filters. They are mounted in place of your old filter in the original air box, they require no modification.
High performance models, they allow greater air flow and thus contribute to improving the efficiency of your engine for better combustion. BMC air filters are made from multi-layered cotton gauze soaked in a low viscosity oil and taken between two aluminum grids treated with epoxy to prevent oxidation. Dusts and other particles are captured and immobilized by cotton fibers soaked in low viscosity oil.

- Renault Clio 1 1.8 16v 135cv from 1991 to 1996
- Renault Clio 1 2.0 16v Williams 147cv from 1994 to 1998
