On modern engines, the work of the air flow upstream and downstream of the turbo is optimized thanks to elements such as Turbo Inlets and Outlets.
However, on a generation of engines like the 2.7T V6 which equips the Audi S4 and RS4 B5, the question of the flow meter present on the last section of the pipe poses a problem.
Indeed, the connectivity and integration of the measuring element being rather complex, 034Motorsport has decided to optimize what is commonly called "MAF Box".
As a result, the section is made of 85mm CNC machined aluminum from Hitachi. This makes it possible to maintain a substantial diameter which will limit turbulence in the air flow. However, if your assembly retains the Original Air Box, the adapter referenced by 034Motorsport to mate with the MAF Box will be essential.
