RacingLine sport springs have been specially designed to replace your factory springs with slightly shorter and stiffer springs. They are designed to lower your vehicle's center of gravity and reduce body roll for better handling, while maintaining the ride quality and comfort as the manufacturer intended. RacingLine has found the current VAG Group OEM shocks to be much more sophisticated than previous generations, resulting in a significant improvement in handling with little change. RacingLine has painstakingly developed these springs to work perfectly with your OEM shocks and requires no other changes to your suspension to take advantage of their benefits.
The Sport RacingLine springs have been developed for several VAG platforms, all correctly matching their respective OEM dampers, making them a very cost effective modification. With different engines and weights, RacingLine has developed a range of springs specific to your vehicle and powertrain. These springs are fully compatible with Volkswagen's Switchable ACC (Adjustable Chassis Control) shock absorbers.
A typical RacingLine Sport Spring customer is one who demands performance above stock without breaking the bank. These springs are not intended for customers looking to dramatically lower or trail their vehicle. For these customers, RacingLine 's full range of coilovers are available to meet your individual needs.
Reduce vehicle height and increase spring rate
Each vehicle will be lowered differently, depending on the platform. Most vehicles see a 20-25mm reduction in front and rear ride height. These heights were chosen to preserve the wheel travel needed to maintain standard car usability, with an increase in spring rate of around 10-15% depending on car type. Further lowering or stiffening, as some springs do, in RacingLine 's experience, will cause the vehicle to bounce and lose control of the shock, as the shocks do not match the spring and will also cause the springs to travel. You also risk drastically reducing the life of your shock absorbers by choosing the wrong springs over RacingLine sport springs.
