Performance
BMC air filters were developed to increase airflow compared to a conventional paper engine filter. For example, in motorsport, the BMC cotton filter minimizes variations in airflow passing through the air filter, which helps boost your engine's revs. By using a BMC filter, you're using the same technology as the filters used in F1.
Design and materials
Advanced studies have been carried out by flow mechanics engineers while using the best development techniques to produce the most efficient BMC air filters possible. A Formula 1 filter must be very durable and also very light, which is why they use the best materials possible because they are composed of a special cotton gauze.
The filter material is soaked with low viscosity oil to give you the best air permeability.
Advanced technology
BMC staff have developed a special system based on soft rubber molding that gives this red appearance around BMC filters.
They are made in a single piece without welded joints in the corners, thus avoiding the risk of breakage of this material. This system, called "Full Moulding", comes from R&D in F1 and is significant of the technical and qualitative specificities of the air filters coming straight from BMC .

BMC air filters are a great replacement for conventional filters. They fit in place of your old filter in the original air box and require no modifications.
High-performance models allow for superior airflow, thus contributing to improved engine performance for better combustion. BMC air filters are made from multi-layer cotton gauze soaked in low-viscosity oil and sandwiched between two epoxy-coated aluminum grids to prevent oxidation. Dust and other particles are captured and immobilized by the cotton fibers soaked in low-viscosity oil.
Important: The increased airflow associated with the installation of this BMC air filter may cause intake turbulence. Vehicle engine management systems react with varying degrees of sensitivity to this turbulence. For most of these models, in the event of a fault, a reset is sufficient to resolve the problem, but if this is not the case, it is preferable to keep an original filter. Since the BMC air filter itself is not the cause, no recovery will unfortunately be possible in the event of a persistent fault.
