The self-locking differential, also called "self-locking differential" or LSD, allows you to correct the distribution of torque on the drive wheels of your vehicle, whether in a bend or in a straight line, it therefore limits the primary function of the differential by preventing the two drive wheels from turning at different rotation speeds.

BRATEX limited slip differentials are designed to have a 5:1 torque distribution. This means that if one wheel loses traction, the wheel with the most grip can receive up to 5 times more torque than the wheel that is slipping.

When cornering, the inside wheel will turn differently from the outside wheel, the BRATEX limited slip differential allows the torque to be better distributed to the vehicle's drive wheels when cornering.

The BRATEX limited slip differential locks have a progressive operation that is less abrupt than a disc limited slip differential.

Their calibration varies constantly depending on the loss of traction, using no discs so no wear, they are also very gentle on your original transmission.
