Significant power and increased sound!
After a long R&D process, CTS Turbo is pleased to release our new air intake system for BMW M135i and M235i F20 equipped with the famous N55 engine!
This is the first admission for F20 N55. Why? Because almost every other intake kit on the market will cause poor operating condition due to improperly shaped MAF housing.
What do we mean?
Your factory MAF box is shaped like a hexagon, when you use a circular box instead of the hexagon, unwanted side effects occur such as incorrect MAF readings, erratic idling and downshifting ( particularly visible on cars equipped with ZF automatic gearboxes), and finally, but in particular the BAD FUEL MILEAGE.
The reason is that the "DME" (computer) is not getting correct airflow readings due to the incorrect shape of the MAF box.
What have we done to resolve this issue?
We have tested developed and molded our own aluminum MAF housing in hexagon shape to make sure your car can measure air as good as possible in stock form.
The OEM air intake works in conjunction with our air box to seamlessly force cold air into our air intake system. The air then flows through our 3.5-inch high-flow air filter, which uses an inverted cone design for maximum engine breathing.
Our 3.5 inch mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube allows smooth entry of cold air directly into the engine, minimizing turbulence from unnecessary connections.
All of the components included in our CTS TURBO Air Intake Kit work perfectly together to deliver increased horsepower and torque across the power range and an aggressive race-inspired sound.
