FORGE MOTORSPORT is proud to present a complete plug and play intercooler solution for the Peugeot 308 GTI. With reports of IATS (intake air temperature) reaching dangerous levels on track days during the summer months, causing the engines ECU to shut down to prevent detonation. This can damage your vehicle's engine, resulting in a loss of power in the highly tuned 1.6-liter turbocharged power plant.

The vehicle used to develop the product, kindly loaned by Godspeed Brakes, was frequently used on the track and tested to its limits, without any modifications to the vehicle body. The FORGE MOTORSPORT development team managed to increase the volume of air passing through the air-to-air intercooler through the turbocharger to over 74% with an increase in frontal area of 8% compared to the intercooler supplied by the 'factory.

FMINT30 is finished in our anti-corrosion powder coating which not only helps preserve this intercooler from harsh environments but also improves its thermal properties. Alternatively, it is available in our Raw Alloy Motorsport finish and, as with all products manufactured by FORGE MOTORSPORT , this intercooler is backed by the legendary Forge Lifetime Warranty.

With no additional lag and a proven IATS reduction, this is a must-have item for the Peugeot 308 GTI owner using their car for fast road, track days or competition use. Alternatively, if you intend to modify your 308 GTI with either software (a performance remap or an engine ECU calibration), the FORGE MOTORSPORT intercooler will help provide cooling and the extra performance needed to ensure the engine remains reliable, safer and runs cooler in the hot summer months.

With the data logging, we found that at 6646 rpm the IATS did not exceed 24°C. This was tested on the third pull on the dyno versus 40°C on the second pull at 6647 rpm with the stock cooler in place. While power increased by 7 BHP at the flywheel between 4500RPM and 6200RPM, with a torque gain of 12NM at 5200RPM and a steady gain between 4300RPM and 6000RPM.

This exchanger is mounted instead on the facade.

It allows a drop in intake temperature of up to 20 degrees.
