An intercooler, also called an "air / air" exchanger, is really very effective in increasing the power of the engine and thus making your car more reliable. It optimizes the operation of turbocharged engines by acting on the temperature of the air entering the engine block.

Basically, the turbo compresses the air coming from the air filter, which has the effect of increasing the power and torque of your engine, but not necessarily optimally. In fact, the action of the turbo rapidly increases the heat of the intake air temperature and as you know the hotter the air, the less dense it is and therefore it expands, so what has the effect of reducing the efficiency of the engine.

In order to eliminate the negative effects of the turbo (heat, air density, incoming temperature, etc.) an intercooler is therefore installed. This will allow the compressed gases to be cooled better and therefore to be able to densify the air entering the engine and maintain a lower ambient temperature. This will result in better combustion and optimization of the efficiency of your engine.
