VWRacing began the development of several sway bar systems through its racing efforts in the UK Volkswagen Racing Cup and created a bar that is perfect for daily traction vehicles as well as racing cars. Research and development spanned several years with race, track and street tests until data from VWRacing indicated they arrived at perfect settings. By offering three stiffness settings, which equates to street (soft), aggressive street (medium) vs track (fully rigid), the bars can be tailored to suit individual needs.
The bars greatly enhance the cornering response characteristics by reducing body roll, but the ride quality and comfort are not changed compared to the stiffer springs. By stiffening the vehicle frame under cornering loads, cornering speeds will improve and understeer will be reduced. They are a perfect solution for anyone looking for race proven technology for road or track use.
The bars are only sold in the front or rear, but VWRacing recommends installing both to ensure the stability of the front and rear handles. All VWRacing stabilizer bars are powder coated VWRacing Blue with engraved Volkswagen Racing logo. Each bar has 3 settings (soft / medium / stiff) and are hollow in design. The bars are fully compatible with VW / Audi ACC shocks and are available for both front and all-wheel drive vehicles.
