Motul RBF660 brake fluid is a 100% synthetic brake fluid intended for all hydraulic brake and clutch control systems for which a silicone-free synthetic fluid is recommended. Its very high wet boiling point allows braking efficiency to be maintained in wet weather. Its formulation is specially designed to withstand the very high temperatures of the clutch and hydraulic brake controls of steel or carbon competition brakes.
This fluid is recommended to ensure a long life of the braking system, Motul RBF660 oil provides consistency and safety, even under extreme stress.
Conventional DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1 brake fluids absorb moisture, thus lowering the boiling point and generating risks of “vapor lock”.
While RBF 660 fluid has a very high boiling point (328°C / 622°F) compared to DOT 5.1 (260°C / 500°F) and DOT 4 (230°C / 446°F) fluids. Thus, the fact that the boiling point of RBF 660 is high, allows for more efficient braking even when it is heavily used and reduces the brake cooling air intakes in order to improve the aerodynamic performance of vehicles.
In addition, the wet boiling point of RBF 660 fluid is very high (204°C / 399°F) compared to DOT 5.1 non-silicone base fluids (180°C / 356°C) and DOT 4 (155°C / 311°F). The fact that the wet boiling point of RBF 660 is very high, guarantees effective braking even in wet weather.
RBF600 is not miscible with other silicone based brake fluids.
