On modern engines, the work of the air flow upstream and downstream of the turbo is optimized thanks to elements such as Turbo Inlets and Outlets.

However, on a generation of engines like the 2.7T V6 that equips the Audi S4 and RS4 B5, the question of the flow meter present on the last section of tubing poses a problem.

Indeed the connection and the integration of the measuring element being rather complex, 034Motorsport has decided to optimize what is commonly called "MAF box". As a result, the section is made of 85mm CNC machined aluminum from Hitachi or Bosch.

This makes it possible to maintain a substantial diameter which will limit turbulence in the air flow. Whether with a more advanced installation made up of silicone couplers of the same diameter or via the adapter referenced by 034Motorsport to join the original air box, the assembly of this box is entirely possible and relevant according to a process of development worthy of the name.

If your preparation project includes a K04 turbo, the answer proposed by 034Motorsport is self-evident in order to take care of your air intake upstream of your supercharging system.
