Phenolic spacer joint for Renault Megane 2 RS 2.0 16V F4RT and Megane 3 Rs

This is our Phenolic Joint spacer.

This gasket allows a lowering of the intake temperature by up to 50 degrees (see photo 2)

Phenolic is the best material that can be used to minimize the heat exchange between the intake and the engine.

On our dynamometer we saw a 1-4% increase in power over the stock seal.

Additionally, it is far superior to material like UHMW (NYLON) because it holds its shape and therefore does not burr in the intake duct, which would decrease engine efficiency. In conclusion, the best choice is phenolic.

This shim comes between the two original joints.

You need to add a normal gasket in front and behind the shim, and find screws longer than the thickness of the shim.
