What's the problem with a worn or torn driveshaft bearing?
The stock driveshaft center support bearing is designed to reduce NVH in the vehicle by holding the center bearing loosely with rubber enclaves that are quite fragile. During starts and gear changes, the driveshaft can move out of center, decreasing throttle response and causing oscillations in the transmission. As it ages, the rubber in the bracket sags and dry rots, ruining the alignment of the driveshaft.
Their concept in this part is the idea of improved keeping the driveshaft firmly in place at all times, thus with its solid construction guarantees that it will never wear out. The thick CNC aluminum half moons ensure that the driveshaft cannot move from the center, maintaining alignment of the driveshaft at all times.
