The large volume central charge radiator from Wagner Tuning is an exchanger which is mounted in place of the original one.
The 2.9 TFSI V6 Biturbo engine fitted to the RS4 and RS5 from 2017 has an indirect cooling circuit to cool the charge air circuit.
Thus, the cooling of the charged air is not carried out by ambient air as cooling medium (as usual), but carried out with its own cooling water circuit. A reduction in cooling water temperature directly equates to improved charged air cooling performance.
This is exactly where the benefits of the Wagner Tuning Upgraded Water Cooler come into play.
The newly developed competition core of Wagner Tuning high-performance water coolers increases the radiator volume of OEM water coolers by a total of 55%. The calculated ratio between internal and external cooling surface generates maximum heat transfer and at the same time allows sufficient air flow to the surrounding components (e.g. engine water cooler) for its own heat exchange.
The water coolers are equipped with a heat-conducting anti-corrosion coating to ensure a long-lasting cooling effect. The plug & play installation of the system is simple and easy to carry out (an installation instruction is also included).
