As you should know, the low pressure fuel pump is a key component that should not be overlooked in any way if you want to upgrade to Stage 3 or Stage 2+ on your 2.0 TFSI TSI engine.

But what is this Valve for?

When your original fuel pressure is exceeded, the regulator valve allows your fuel to come from the high pressure fuel rail.

If this pressure relief valve has become damaged, it can cause too little pressure loss in the fuel rail, often resulting in error codes or loss of power as well as injection cutouts and most importantly a loss of fuel. very high risk of breakage.

This valve is also called " Pressure Regulating Valve".

But why replace it?

This part is part of the improvements when you want to go on a stage 2+. Indeed, the quantity of fuel as well as the fuel pressure sent to your injectors is very often limited by the original fuel pressure control valve of your car.

Replacing your stock pressure control valve on your 2.0 TSI and 2.0TFSI engine with this one will allow you to take more gasoline rail pressure on your injection system.

The pressure of your original valve is 130bar, with this new valve your pressure will be 140bar, so you will be able to send a larger quantity of fuel to the rail of your 2.0 TFSI or TSI engine, and therefore thus more power.


This fuel pressure regulating valve must of course be taken into account in your engine reprogramming. You will also need a high pressure high flow fuel pump such as an Autotech kit, VIS Motorsport or a complete pump from LOBA MOTORSPORT .

Indeed, the OEM pumps of Volkswagen Golf 5 Gti, Audi S3 or Volkswagen Golf 6R, even the so-called "facelilt" versions will not go up to 140bar of fuel pressure.

This valve is often replaced when installing large Audi RS4 gasoline injectors and Flaps Delete. On this occasion we also perform a cleaning of the intake valves in order to make the most of the power of your high engine.
