MECACYL *. * HY
Mécacyl HY is used in mechanical or sequential gearboxes, axles (classic, limited-slip clutch type, torsen type bridge, etc.), clutch, chain, bearings, base, etc. for more reliability, flexibility , anti-wear, anti-oxidant, better gear change, silent operation etc ...
Common use:
4 to 5% of the fluid, i.e. 1 bottle for 2 to 2.5 liters of hydraulic oil, in the gearboxes 5% of the fluid, in the bridges 3% of the fluid or 5% mixed in grease (gears, chains, etc. ...) or pure on certain applications.
On new vehicle:
put the HY in the unit's vent hole, without emptying it, just before delivery to the Customer or up to a maximum of 20,000 km.
On a non-new vehicle:
Drain the box and use the HY. In the event of difficulty in shifting gear (except breakage or HS synchros), 5% to 9% of *. * HY will be used to act immediately. Then follow the general recommendation.
Emptying rate:
Gearbox change every 80,000 km or every 2/3 years with the same type of oil and the same quantity of Mécacyl. Choice of oil: All types of oils are suitable. The best anti-wear stability results will be obtained with so-called extreme pressure oils of type W 75/80 (for hard boxes or boxes that stick) or W 80/90, except in special cases to be submitted to us before use.
Restrictions:
Use prohibited in submerged brakes, calibrated power transfer discs (some boat reversers) or a broken gearbox, automatic gearboxes and self-locking HALDEX type controlled slip axles.
