When preparing the Cat Cams camshaft, two modifications are observed: the valve lift and the opening angle.
Valve lift allows you to change the length and opening angle, which causes less or more air to enter the combustion chamber.
You should know that more air entering therefore modifies the air/fuel mixture in the cylinders, which increases power at high revs.
Also, the greater the opening angle of the valve, the more the air flow increases, which promotes the air/fuel mixture and therefore more power.
Therefore for use in competition, leisure, circuit and other, the revs will be sharper, the character of your engine will be more furious and thus you will benefit from a better range of use which will become a real asset.

Cat Cams camshaft reference: 7100701/C / Opening 0.1mm, intake 256°, exhaust 246° / Opening 1.0mm, intake 221°, exhaust 215° / Max lift intake 10.30mm, exhaust 9.25mm / Lift at TDC intake 10.30 mm, exhaust 9.25mm / Full inlet opening 115°, exhaust 110° / Intake clearance, 0.85mm, exhaust 0.95mm.
The VANOS (VVT) system on the intake camshaft changes PD from 115° to 72°. Data is displayed for full intake lag (VVT disengaged). Check that the distance between the valves and the piston is at least 1mm. Improper installation will result in serious engine damage. ECU reprogramming required
