Phenolic seal spacer for Volkswagen Golf 2 1.8 G60 / Corrado 1.8 G60

This is our Phenolic Gasket spacer.

This seal allows the intake temperature to be lowered by up to 50 degrees (see photo 2)

Phenolic is the best material that can be used to minimize the heat exchange between the intake and the engine as much as possible.

On our dyno we saw a 1-4% increase in power over the stock seal.

In addition, it is much superior to material such as UHMW (NYLON) because it keeps its shape and therefore does not create a burr in the intake duct, which would reduce engine performance. In conclusion, the best choice is the phenolic.

This wedge comes between the two original seals.

You must add a normal seal in front of and behind the shim, and find screws longer than the thickness of the shim.
