Here is our hydraulic cam follower high pressure pump tappet replacing your old one on your hpfp pump for 2.0 TFSI EA888 engine
As you know this high pressure hydraulic pump lifter also called "cam follower" is one of the very sensitive parts on the 2.0 TSI EA888 engine.
It is strongly recommended that you pay your utmost attention to it, it should be checked every 10,000km generally on a prepared vehicle (from stage 1 for example) and every 30,000km on a vehicle with a stock engine.
You can find this HPFP pump tappet in many vehicles of the VAG group ( Volkswagen / Audi / Seat and Skoda) which are equipped with the 2.0 TSI / TFSI engine.
It is very important that you have to check the condition of this Cam Follower , but why? Because it could damage your high pressure pump but also the upper engine (cylinder head, camshaft).
You can carry out this small visual check for example when you do your engine oil change and it will only take a few minutes and its replacement will cost you much less than a major intervention on a broken engine.
