Often in competition or motorsport, the engines as well as the fluids are put to the test, indeed they are strongly sent from left to right following the bends and back and forth following strong acceleration or braking. To avoid lift-off, some preparers offer semi-partitioned or fully partitioned oil sump.
This has the effect of the bale movement of the oil and thus preserves oil pockets so that the oil pump is always supplied with oil.
