But what is a turbo inlet?

A turbo inlet is actually a large diameter intake elbow that connects the turbo to the induction hose. This turbo inlet is generally found on platforms on 2.0 and 2.5 TFSI / TSI EA888 gen.3 engines from the VAG group.

This intake elbow is generally more rigid and has a larger diameter than the original hose.

If you couple this intlet to the large volume induction hose and to a high-performance intake, you will get a very appreciable power gain and a smoother and much stronger acceleration.
