Used throughout the world, the QUAIFE self-locking device was introduced in the 1980s.

Adopted in rally type competitions, on circuits and/or on the road, the self-locking system is THE solution for traction.

The self-locking system automatically redirects the torque to the wheel with the most grip. This results in less understeer on a front-wheel drive vehicle and less oversteer for a rear-wheel drive vehicle.

On front-wheel drive vehicles: the advantages of self-locking are felt when braking (the transfer of torque takes place in the opposite direction towards the wheel which does not lock) which delays the ABS systems

The QUAIFE self-locking system is compatible with electronic trajectory control, traction control and anti-lock wheel systems.
